At less than 15 km, the Natural Reserve of the Stagnone became famous for those who practice kite surfing (with the island of Mothia, perfectly preserved remains of the Phoenician civilization and the ancient sunken road, connecting with the coast); as well as the Natural Reserve of Trapani with its charming salt pans, still cultivated in the traditional way (which was established a reserve WWF for the protection of flora and fauna and you can see whole flocks of beautiful pink flamingos).
The Natural Reserve of Cofano Mount , about 30 km away, is ideal for lovers of trekking, with trails of all levels, tracked by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club); but for lovers of the sea and the snorkelling and diving, the Egadi Islands with Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo, represent a true paradise, as well as the most beautiful beaches on the Sicilian coast, such as San Vito Lo Capo.
The historic center of Trapani is only 13 km farway: with its baroque palaces, churches, the fish market and shopping boutiques will be a pleasure to dedicate a visit. And then, less than twenty kilometers, there is the city of Marsala, with its historic wineries that produce wines that have made it famous all over the world (and there is the possibility of tasting); or the medieval village of Erice, with the suggestion of the houses and ancient streets built of stone, the Norman castle, the ancient architecture and the ericina almond pastry.
